Mehmet Fatih KARA, who was born in Trabzon in 1967, graduated from Istanbul Technical University, the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He earned the Master’s in Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University. He continues his MBA program in the University of Houston at present. Mr. Kara worked in various projects in corporations which operate in the petroleum oil field services and manufacturing sectors such as Schulumberger, Halliburton and Baker Hughes between the years 1992-2002. He provided valuable services to the information technology sector acting as the chairman of Yukatech LLC which is headquartered in Houston, Texas, USA between the years 2002-2005. He continues his work in the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Housing Development Administration (TOKI) since August of 2005. Acting as the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, he has been responsible for the activities of Research-Development, TOKI IT Department & Data Processing Center, foreign relations and business development activities with worldwide investors as well as the rating, mortgage, bond issue, securitization and housing finance activities in the frame of the development of the investment and borrowing strategies of TOKÝ. He is a key advisor to the board chairman and all members of the executive board on business strategy execution for devising and implementing strategic road maps and expansion plans to improve firm’s reputation for performance as well as being in charge of defining and implementing strategies to significantly improve the direction of the administration. He is currently living in Ankara with his wife and two children.
